And the entire operation has to be sequenced so that production downtime is minimised.

Full factory shifting from one address to another. Includes complete inventory of machinery and equipment, dismantling sequence planning, machine-specific crating and palletizing, coordinated transport using low-bed and container trucks, and reinstallation at new premises. We typically handle factory moves in phased weekends to minimise production loss. For a mid-sized manufacturing unit with 40-60 machines, we plan the move over 3-4 weekends.
Single-machine or multi-machine transport where the factory continues operating. Common requests: a used CNC machine purchased from another factory needs to be brought in, a second-hand injection moulding machine being sold to a buyer in another city, an existing machine being sent to the manufacturer for overhaul. We handle loading, crating, road transport, unloading, and positioning at destination.
Large-scale plant relocation including chemical plants, power generation units, and process industries. This is our most complex service. Requires 6-8 weeks of pre-planning, detailed Gantt charts for sequence of operations, coordination with multiple agencies (electricity board, pollution control, local municipality), and typically 30-50 crew members on ground. Past projects include a 200-tonne boiler relocation from Haldia and a 15-tonne transformer move for a private captive power plant.
Production lines like bottling lines, packaging lines, assembly lines โ where multiple machines work together as a synchronised system. We photograph the entire line before disassembly, label every connection and pipe, document the sequence of operations, and reassemble exactly as it was. For FMCG clients with automated packaging lines, we work closely with their production engineers to ensure zero calibration loss.
Raw material or semi-finished goods transfer from warehouse to factory premises โ often for clients who have centralized storage but distributed production. We offer scheduled daily or weekly shuttling services with dedicated trucks.
When a business moves entirely โ office desks plus factory machinery โ we execute both in parallel. Office move typically on weekend, factory move phased over following weeks. Single project manager coordinates both.
For machinery export, dealer-to-dealer transfers, or long-term storage, we build custom wooden crates on-site. Our carpentry team can handle crates up to 40 feet long. All crates meet ISPM-15 standards for international export (heat-treated, stamped). This service alone โ custom crating without transport โ is also offered to clients who just want professional packing.
Our senior project manager and mechanical engineer visit your facility. Every machine is photographed from all angles, dimensions measured, weight noted (from nameplate or certified weighing), and mounting type assessed (foundation-bolted, free-standing, ceiling-suspended). A detailed inventory document is prepared with reference numbers. We identify which machines need certified rigging, which need just regular industrial crew, and which have special requirements (hydraulic system drainage, oil removal, calibration hold).
At the destination, we conduct a separate survey โ floor load capacity assessment, foundation readiness, power and utility availability, ceiling height for overhead machinery, and staging area planning. For new premises not yet ready, we build in storage logistics.
Over-dimensional cargo (anything wider than 2.6m or taller than 4.75m) requires RTO permits. Heavy loads (above 30 tonnes) may require police escort. Goods crossing state borders need e-way bills with proper HSN codes. Chemicals or hazardous equipment require additional clearances. Our documentation team handles all of this. Cost of permits is passed through transparently with government receipts.
Day of move: our crew arrives with all equipment. Electrical disconnections done first by licensed electricians. Hydraulic and pneumatic systems drained. Wiring bundles labeled. Mechanical disassembly begins โ by qualified fitters, not random labour. Each removed part goes into a labeled box tied to a master inventory. Main machine body gets custom crating. Delicate components (sensors, control panels) get separate cushioned packaging.
Vehicles arrive per schedule. Low-bed trailers for tallest cargo. Container trucks for boxed items. Forklifts and cranes for loading โ we bring our own or hire locally from verified partners. Each load is photographed before departure. GPS-tracked transit with our project manager on call 24ร7.
At destination, reverse of loading. Our installation team (separate from transport team) positions machinery on pre-prepared foundations. Electrical reconnection by licensed electrician. Hydraulic refill. Pneumatic pressurisation. Then commissioning โ which means powering up each machine, running it through test cycles, and confirming operation.
For precision machinery that requires calibration, we include a calibration technician on the team. Machines are tested with actual production-quality inputs, and only signed off when the client's production team confirms output quality matches pre-move baseline.

We strongly recommend comprehensive transit insurance for every industrial move. Premium is typically 0.8 to 1.5 percent of declared machine value. Covers physical damage during handling, loading, transit, and unloading. For machinery worth above โน50 lakh, we insist on insurance as a prerequisite for the contract โ the risk otherwise is too high for either party.
